Annual General Meeting Notice

Our AGM will be held on Thursday, April 23rd at 7pm at École la Mission. Our guest speaker will be City of St. Albert Neighbourhood Development Coordinator Angie Dedrick. Angie will speak about the Neighbourhood Network and the ways we can encourage more connected communities.

The AGM is also the opportunity to elect a new Executive for our Association. We are always looking for new people to get involved. The time commitment is one meeting a month and it’s a great way to support your community and get to know your neighbours.

We will also have information available on QSP Magazine subscriptions. HLCA members get access to discounted magazine subscription rates. A portion of each subscription is also donated back to HLCA which assists with the delivery of our events throughout the year.

Fall Update

By on November 3, 2014

hallowThank you to everyone who came out to our Halloween Party. It was another fun night with lots of kids (and ghosts) with smiles on their faces. Thank you as always to École la Mission for making the school available for the event. Finally, thank you to all of the volunteers who gave of their time to run a game and help in any way needed to make this event possible.

Our next event will be the annual Christmas Party. It will be held on Thursday, December 4th from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. We will need a few volunteers to help out so please let us know if you would like to volunteer. Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Canada Day Fun

By on July 15, 2014

Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the Canada Day Pancake Breakfast. The turnout was once again record setting and we thank everyone who had to wait for breakfast for their patience.

We owe a huge thanks to the many volunteers who gave of their time to help out with this event. From pancake flippers to ticket takers to servers, our volunteers make this event possible. A special thanks to École la Mission and its Principal Claude Viel for both opening the school for the event and for spending the entire morning helping out.

Look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
