Calling All Ghosts and Goblins

By on September 3, 2010

Well, as much as we’d all like to pretend it’s not the case, summer is fast coming to a close.  The good news is that Fall is just around the corner and along with it comes our Heritage Lakes Halloween Party.  The party will be held on Friday, October 22nd at École la Mission.  We decided to hold this party a week early this year given that Halloween falls on the weekend and we suspect that some of you may have other party plans.   If you’d like to let us know that you’re coming, please swing by our Facebook page and RSVP on the link for the Halloween Party.  As always, we could use some volunteers for the party, so please let us know if you can lend a hand.  Hope to see you all there!

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast Reminder

By on June 30, 2010

This is a reminder that you are invited to a pancake breakfast on Canada Day, July 1st from 9:00am to 11:00am at the gazebo by the lake on Harwood Drive.  Activities for the kids will include a Jumpy Thing, sack races, three legged races, tug-of-war, water relay, hula hoops, face painting, sidewalk chalk drawing, and bubble blowing.

The Heritage Lakes Community Association is organizing this event, and will charge only $3 per person ($2 if you bring your own cup, plate and cutlery) for a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit, and juice/coffee.

If you haven’t already done so, this is a great opportunity to support the HLCA by making sure your membership is current – it still only costs $20 a year per family.

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast

By on May 7, 2010

Come celebrate Canada Day with us on July 1, 2010. Enjoy a pancake breakfast from 9:00am until 11:00am for only $3 per person. Even better, be environmentally friendly by bringing your own coffee mug, plate and cutlery in a bag, and pay only $2!

There will be lots of activities for kids, and it will be a great opportunity to visit with neighbours and friends.

We were overwhelmed with the success of last year’s event (almost 500 people served), and are planning for a big crowd again this year.   Look for additional details in June!
