Canada Day Pancake Breakfast Reminder

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast Reminder

By on June 30, 2010

This is a reminder that you are invited to a pancake breakfast on Canada Day, July 1st from 9:00am to 11:00am at the gazebo by the lake on Harwood Drive.  Activities for the kids will include a Jumpy Thing, sack races, three legged races, tug-of-war, water relay, hula hoops, face painting, sidewalk chalk drawing, and bubble blowing.

The Heritage Lakes Community Association is organizing this event, and will charge only $3 per person ($2 if you bring your own cup, plate and cutlery) for a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit, and juice/coffee.

If you haven’t already done so, this is a great opportunity to support the HLCA by making sure your membership is current – it still only costs $20 a year per family.

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast

By on May 7, 2010

Come celebrate Canada Day with us on July 1, 2010. Enjoy a pancake breakfast from 9:00am until 11:00am for only $3 per person. Even better, be environmentally friendly by bringing your own coffee mug, plate and cutlery in a bag, and pay only $2!

There will be lots of activities for kids, and it will be a great opportunity to visit with neighbours and friends.

We were overwhelmed with the success of last year’s event (almost 500 people served), and are planning for a big crowd again this year.   Look for additional details in June!

Another Successful Spring Clean Up

By on May 7, 2010

Thanks to everyone who came out to help with the Spring Clean Up.   Over 60 people came out to help keep our neighbourhood clean.  With the great turnout, we were able to assign people to every nook and cranny of the neighbourhood.   As always, there were a number of  “interesting” items found – the most surprising being a tricycle in Heritage Lake!
